‘You can be assured of a great show from Mr. IPL’ – Fans want Gujarat Titans to sign Suresh Raina as a replacement for Jason Roy

Indian Premier League (IPL) legend Suresh Raina went unsold in the 2022 IPL mega auction. Raina, who had a base price of INR 2 Crores found no takers.

And now with less than a month to go for the start of the 15th edition of the IPL, England cricketer Jason Roy announced on 1st March 2022 that he wants to pull out of the 2022 edition of the IPL. The right-hander stated that he wants to spend more time with his family.

Roy also stated that he will be supporting the Gujarat Titans in IPL 2022 and will be backing them to win the IPL trophy. Roy also thanked everyone for their support.

Fans want Suresh Raina back for IPL 2022

And, with Jason Roy pulling out, fans want Suresh Raina to replace the England player in the Gujarat Titans squad. One fan stated that Gujarat Titans can be assured of the fact that Raina will put up a good show for them in the tournament.

Another fan made a request to the Gujarat Titans to sign Raina as a replacement for Roy. Yet another fan stated that Raina is a legend and is known as Mr. IPL, and the Titans should sign him. Another fan said that Raina is the most valuable player in the history of the IPL.

Suresh Raina boasts of a stellar record in IPL cricket. The left-handed batting behemoth has featured in a whopping 205 matches in the IPL and has scored 5528 runs in the tournament, at an average of 32.52 and a strike rate in excess of 135. Raina has also scored a hundred and 39 fifties in IPL cricket as well, is currently the 4th highest run-scorer in the high profile Indian T20 League, and is considered as one of the all-time greats as far as the IPL is concerned.
