'You selected this picture?' - Jasprit Bumrah asks wife Sanjana Ganesan on his shirtless picture

India and New Zealand are gearing up to lock horns in the much-awaited ICC World Test Championship final, which starts on June 18 at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton. For the very first time, a world title would be at stake in a Test match, and both sides must leave no stones unturned to get over the line. With the Southampton track set to offer pace and bounce, fast bowlers of both sides will have a job in hand.

This means Jasprit Bumrah will also be under the spotlight. The right-arm pacer has been spearheading India’s bowling attack for a while and would be raring to shatter timbers in the summit clash. Ahead of the WTC final, Bumrah recalled some of his Instagram memories while featuring in a video for International Cricket Council (ICC). Moreover, the interviewer was none other than the pacer’s wife, Sanjana Ganesan, who’s a renowned TV presenter.

In the interaction, Bumrah was shown some of his Instagram pictures and was asked to reveal the story behind them. From his childhood clicks to his snap with the Border Gavaskar Trophy, the 27-year-old recalled many of his posts. The talismanic fast bowler was also shown one of his shirtless pictures, where he can be seen flaunting his toned body and chiselled abs.

“You selected this picture,” an amused Bumrah said to his wife after coming across the pic and the lovebirds shared laughter. The star bowler then recalled the mirror selfie and said, “This is a picture where I was working hard on my body and the fitness transformation was going on. I used to tell everyone that I was a chubby kid. So after that, coming into international cricket, I realized I had to get fitter. So, it was just trying to show it off a little bit I guess.”

For the unversed, Jasprit and Sanjana tied knots in March earlier this year in a private ceremony in Goa. Notably, the fast bowler had pulled out of the ODI and T20I series against England for his marriage. Since then, the lovebirds have frequently been sharing pictures with each other on social media, giving couple goals to fans.
