19th September brings special memories into the minds of cricket lovers. It was the day when Yuvraj Singh hit Stuart Broad for the famous six sixes in the 2007 WT20. Memories become fresh each year when this date arrives and yesterday was the extraordinary feat’s ninth anniversary.

Yuvi is an extraordinary cricketer. But, if there is one achievement for which even random followers of cricket would remember him, then it will be his six sixes.

Only two men Gary Sobers and Ravi Shastri – had recorded this feat before; both during club matches. No one had done it in an international game before Yuvi Singh shattered the young Stuart Broad’s confidence with his wristy flicks and cut shots. This exuberant display of batting saw him reach his fifty in just 12 balls.

The anniversary of this wonderful moment was meant to be a happy one for the Punjab batsman, but unlike every year, Yuvraj was sad and angry this time.

Terror struck an Army camp in North Kashmir’s Uri town when militants stormed a battalion headquarters in the wee hours on Sunday, killing 19 soldiers. The Army camp is located barely few metres away from its Brigade Headquarters in Uri town.

The nation mourned the loss of its brave soldiers. This attack has infuriated many and the sadness and anger was clearly visible yesterday in the social media.

The four terrorists, who attacked at 4am on Sunday, were gunned down by the Army personnel after a three-hour long gun battle.

Many other current and former cricketers also condemned the attack and tweeted about it.
