There is a huge question mark over the start date of IPL 2020 as India is currently fighting with the novel Coronavirus. All the players are enjoying their time off the field. Some are spending their time with their families at home while the others seem to be entertaining their fans with their antiques on social media.

Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB) leg-spinner, Yuzvendra Chahal belongs to the second category here as he recently pulled the leg of his IPL franchise. Known to be one of the funniest guys off the field, Chahal hilariously trolled the RCB team by commenting on one of their recent posts.

RCB shared Chahal’s photo on social media where the leg-spinner’s face cannot be seen. They then asked the fans to guess the player. They even mentioned in the caption that they do not want to check-mate the fans with a very difficult question here.

Here’s the post:

Anyone who has followed cricket in recent times can easily answer this question and since the question was so simple, the man himself decided to answer it. Instead of revealing directly that he is the man standing in this picture, Yuzvendra Chahal wrote: “This guy scored 10,000 runs @royalchallengersbangalore. He is the main batter of RCB.”

Here’s the comment:

It is noteworthy that although Chahal has not achieved the feat that he has mentioned in his joke, he has been the team’s leading wicket-taker in the last few seasons. The Haryana-based spinner has also earned a place in the national team because of his extraordinary performances in the IPL. The RCB had retained him prior to the IPL Auction 2020. He is set to play for them in the IPL later this year, if it goes ahead.

Cricketing fraternity enjoying the mini break

This small break from cricket has allowed the busy cricketers to spend time with their loved ones. While Virat Kohli is spending quality time with his wife, Anushka Sharma, the Pandya brothers are spending their time dancing with their better halves. MS Dhoni has also returned home from Chennai after the practice sessions were cancelled in wake of COVID-19 outbreak.
