The year-end seems to be the wedding season for the Indian cricketers. Last year, it was the likes of Yuvraj Singh who got hitched, and this year, other cricketers are also stepping out from the isle of bachelorhood. Fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar is getting married on November 23. And now, the recent news is about former Indian cricketer Zaheer Khan.

The former cricketer tied the knot with his lady love Sagarika Ghatge today. The reports suggest that the wedding reception will take place on the same day at the Taj Mahal Palace and Tower Hotel in Mumbai on November 27. Sagarika’s close friend and co-actor, Vidya Malwade, recently shared the picture of the invitation card of the reception. The invitation card looks elegant with the white color background.

There is black imprints and golden borders to the design that gives it a perfect finish. The couple had got engaged on May 24 this year. Prior to that, it was during the wedding ceremonies of Yuvraj Singh and Hazel Keech, where Zaheer Khan and Sagarika were first seen together in the public eye.

They soon confirmed that they were dating and the love story is now there to be seen for all. Talking about Zaheer Khan, he has represented India for almost a decade and a half. He was a part of the Indian team that lifted the World Cup in 2011.

Dating a cricketer in reel and real life

Speaking about Sagarika, she has acted in several Bollywood movies, with Chak de! India being her most popular flick. Interestingly, she had dated a cricketer in that movie. Recently, as per the quotes in the Indian Express, Sagarika had mentioned about the same in an interaction.

“When I think of it, there is an irony in that, but it’s definitely not planned. I don’t know how to look back at it, but we can definitely call it ironic. More than me, a lot of people think of it like, ‘Oh my God, she is actually marrying a cricketer because she dated a cricketer’. But that was a movie, this is my real life. So, I don’t know how I can associate both,” she had quoted.
