Five new debutants for India: Mandeep Singh, KL Rahul, Yuzvendra Chahal, Rishi Dhawan and Jaydev Unadkat.

Being asked to bat first Zimbabwe captain Graeme Cremer said: “We would have bowled first. Looks a good wicket and gets better in the afternoon. Anything around 170 should be par I reckon. Vusi came up with a bit of knee problem, Sean Williams and Craig Ervine aren’t playing today. The guys are really looking forward for this game.”

On winning the toss Indian skipper MS Dhoni said: “It’s going in our favour (the toss). We are bowling first, 5 debutants for us today. It’s a fresh start and I don’t think it’s gonna change much. The players are very experinced in the domestic circuit, it’s good they are getting some international experience. Its difficult to assume what a good score in T20 cricket is. I feel 140-150 is chaseable on this surface.”

India have won the toss in the 1st T20I against Zimbabwe and have decided to bowl first.

Atul Wassan at the pitch report said: “Same pitch used for the ODIs. There are some cracks but not wide enough to bother the batsmen. A good batting pitch and the grass has been rolled well and it’s gonna be a high-scoring game,”
