Our penultimate entry is not an Indian but is as loved in India as he is in his country, if not more. Gary Kirsten was the coach of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 winning Indian side. Kirsten, who is well travelled as a coach, has collaborated with Cape Africa Tours to launch Gary Kirsten Travel and Tours.

He also co-owns a company called a Performance Zone alongside Paddy Upton and Dale Williams. It aims in bringing the best performance out of an individual or a business. This company was formed in 2007. He also has a cricket coaching centre called the Gary Kirsten Cricket Academy.

10. Sunil Gavaskar – India

We started our list with the master blaster, and it will be fitting to end this list with the little master. Sachin Tendulkar and Sunil Gavaskar are now sitting side by side in the commentary box of stadiums in England, and they both are good at investing. Gavaskar’s on-field performances have given birth to many firsts — stats which were unprecedented, at least in Indian cricket.

Off the field, he is just as big a record maker. In 1985, the 69-year-old started Professional Management Group (PMG), the first sports marketing company from India. But owing to conflict on interest, BCCI asked him to choose between his corporate and commentary role. He chose both, as he remained the CEO of his company but closed its player management wing, which helped him to continue his job as a commentator.
