Since 2015, Afghanistan has been the team that has made significant progress in world cricket. They have won series against former world champions like West Indies. Adding on, their players have made a significant impact in various franchise leagues as well. Amongst them, Rashid Khan is the biggest name.

Rashid Khan is one of the most skillful bowlers in the limited-overs format. He made the headlines when he joined Sunrisers Hyderabad for INR 4 crores in 2017. Although he is not a big turner of the ball, he can put the batsman under constant pressure by bowling tight and unplayable deliveries. Adding on, he is a handy batsman too, who contributes at the lower order.

Although Rashid Khan is receiving a salary of INR 72.82 lakhs from the Afghanistan cricket board, he is earning a huge amount from the IPL. The Hyderabad-based franchise is giving him an annual salary of INR 9.7 crores. He is the highest-paid cricketer in the history of Afghan cricket.
