Young and fresh Amit Yadav was a breakthrough bowler who appeared in the Goan cricket circuit about a decade ago. Sheer pace and the ability to get the bounce from the track made Amit Yadav a special talent. Amit fetched himself an IPL contract with the Kings XI Punjab franchise.

However, when two news reporters impersonated as members of a sports agency and made illegal offers to him in the year 2012, he reportedly fell prey to the trap. He did not report the issue to the concerned officials and was subsequently banned by the BCCI for a year. However, he made a comeback to First Class cricket (Ranji Trophy) and featured for Goa in 2016 edition as well. He has 120 wickets to his name in 35 matches.
