8. Asghar Afghan
The former captain and all-rounder for Afghanistan impressed everyone with his handy batting and right-arm medium-fast bowling. He played many memorable knocks for Afghanistan. One of his best knocks was 90* against Bangladesh which helped Afghanistan to register their first win against any test playing nation.
After getting the Afghanistan cap for the first time against Scotland on 19 April 2009, he played 195 matches for Afghanistan and scored 4246 runs including two centuries and 19 half-centuries. Apart from it, he has scalped four wickets.
He was a part of the Afghanistan team in the T20 World Cup 2021 and made an impressive 31 in 23 balls against Namibia. The heartbreaking loss to Pakistan forced him to take retirement from all forms of cricket.
