Afghanistan’s spin wizard Rashid Khan has been one of the finds of T20 cricket in the last five years or so. The 23-year-old is a menace with his impeccable lines and flummoxing googlies in the shortest form of the game.

The globetrotting leggie is one of the first names on the team sheet for whichever franchise he plays for and is a proven match-winner. The Afghan superstar is already the third-highest wicket-taker in T20Is, with a considerable amount of cricket still left in his career.

Rashid became the fastest to 100 wickets in a group stage match against Pakistan during the 2021 T20 World Cup, breaching the three-figure mark in just 53 games, taking 23 games less than Lasith Malinga who is the next best. With the advent of power-hitting batting these days, the Afghan’s record seems almost unbreakable.
