Well, as a handy middle-order batsman, Gurkeerat Mann Singh had initially started splendidly for KXIP in IPL 2012. The cricketer as a floating batter had in total played 5 games in that season wherein he whacked the ball at an overwhelming strike rate of 165.38. In fact, by taking on the likes of Dale Steyn in his second game, Gurkeerat had pulled off a terrific run-chase with his match-winning knock off 29 in 12 deliveries.

However, since that high, the cricketer has then been an underperforming entity especially during his prolonged stay at both the PBKS and RCB franchise. While last year, the RCB franchise had extensively rewarded him an opportunity of 8 games, the batter was found extremely reasonable with his blade. Although in all of those outings Gurkeerat was never dismissed, his strike rate of 88. 75 was found to be extremely abhorrent.

Perhaps by only hitting a total of eight fours, a majority of Gurkeerat’s runs came from strike rotation. Such an underwhelming effort then resulted in a cease and the cricketer is currently with the KKR franchise as a replacement batsman. Overall, his previous few seasons have actually shown his adequate hitting skills, but the malfunction in the last IPL might, unfortunately, affect his future selection in IPL 2022.
