With less than a day to go, excitement has reached the highest echelon as the preparations are in full swing, streets once again blaring its horn, fans are on their feet, coaches are delivering their best and fans are praying. As Virat Kohli and co. are looking to make it two in two, the Pakistan camp is exhilarated to win their first title.

We are all set to witness the mother of all clashes as India take on their arch-rivals Pakistan for the final time in Champions Trophy 2017 which is scheduled to take place at The Oval on Sunday (18th June).

India started their campaign with a thumping win over the arch rivals Pakistan as they crushed them by a hefty margin of 124 runs. They haven’t looked back after this performance and have outplayed every opposition except Sri Lanka to make their way through to the finals.

Bookies Bet on India

With being favourites to win the title second time in a row, it is expected that around 2,000 crore is being bet on this high voltage clash where bookies feel India are the favourites, according to the reports of The Times of India.

They said that All India Gaming Federation has quoted this figure with India being the favorites to cross the winning line. The report quoted Betfair website as – if you bet on India you will get Rs 147 for Rs 100 and for Pakistan it is Rs 300 for Rs 100.

Roland Landers, CEO of AIGF, told the newspaper that “It has been estimated by many studies that roughly a total of Rs 2 lakh crore is wagered on all matches that India play throughout the year.”

India and Pakistan are meeting after a decade as they last met in ICC T20 Word Cup 2007 final where India beat Pakistan by 5 runs. Former captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni showed his support in favour of Joginder Sharma and didn’t go for experienced Harbhajan Singh for the final over. The win against Pakistan that day still feels as if it happened yesterday makes the coming encounter more exciting.
