Preview:

The Men’s Cricket event of the 2019 South Asian Games will conclude on Monday when Sri Lanka U23s clash against Bangladesh U23s. The Lankan team finished as the table topper as they chased down the target of 151 with 23 balls to spare against Bangladesh team in the last league match. Bangladesh resting their big stars could be one of the reasons for this result. They will be hoping to bounce back in the final which will be Gold Medal Match. The corresponding Bangladesh Women U23s won the Gold Medal in the Women’s event as they defeated Sri Lankan team by a narrow margin.

Weather Condition/Report:

The University Ground in Kirtipur is forecasted to be under clear skies during the Gold Medal match.

Pitch Condition/Report:

The average scores in the 2019 SAG Men’s cricket hardly explain how the pitches have behaved due to the difference in quality between the teams. Since Bangladesh and Sri Lankan teams are on the same level, we could see a high-scoring thriller. Spinners are likely to have an upper hand in the second half of the chase.
