Not many Bangladesh cricketers have been able to stamp their authority in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Barring Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman to some extent, none of them have been able to cement their places in the franchises.

Previously, the likes of Mashrafe Mortaza, Abdur Razzak, Mohammad Ashraful have plied their trade in the T20 league, but for a handful of games. The fact that the Tigers haven’t quite tasted much success in T20s over the years haven’t helped their cause either.

But over the last two years, Bangladesh have developed in a number of aspects in the T20 format. They have also started to produce cricketers, who can make an impact. The next IPL auction will take place on December 19 and some of their players may attract reasonable bids.

In our article, let’s take a look at three Bangladesh players, who might be bought at the IPL auction:-

Mushfiqur Rahim

Mushfiqur Rahim isn’t intimidating and doesn’t play the extravagant strokes. Yet, he can score runs at a brisk pace, blending caution with his attacking approach. Of late against India, he scored an unbeaten 60 in Delhi, soaking in the pressure at a stage when the required rate was climbing at an alarming rate.

Last year in March, he helped Bangladesh to their highest ever run-chase in T20Is. Back then, he stayed not out on 72 off 35, helping his team track down 215. Rahim is someone, who can hold one end up, staving off the best of attacks.

The 32-year-old has an experience of 166 T20s in which he has notched 3,493 runs with 20 half-centuries. The Bogra-born has earlier been part of IPL auctions, but remained unsold, much to the surprise of many. His fortunes may well turn around.
