The dashing Kiwi batsman had a forgettable season IPL 2018 managing only 63 runs in five games he played. Munro, the T20 prodigy holds the record for the second fastest fifty in T20 internationals and the first batsman to score three centuries in the shortest format at the highest level.

The 2016 season was a yet another desolate tournament for him with Kolkata Knight Riders. In four games, the left-hander had managed to score only thirty runs. Munro has shown a lot of potential and capability, however, he throws away starts instead of making a big score.

Munro was bought for INR 1.9 crore by DD and he failed miserably to live up to his price tag. Replacing him, Delhi Daredevils could rope in opening batsmen like Jonny Bairstow, Martin Guptill or Tamim Iqbal who are far more consistent and reliable.
