As per schedule, Bangladesh are scheduled to tour India for a T20I and Test series, set to get underway on Sunday, November 3. However, there’s a chance that the series could well end up, not taking place. The same is because the Tigers’ cricketers have gone into a strike.

The players held a press conference in Dhaka where Shakib Al Hasan, Mahmudullah Riyad and others were present. The players put forth an 11-point demand sheet to the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). If the conditions aren’t met, then the players won’t take part in any cricket related activities.

The demands ranges from increasing the wages of local players to reviving the old format of the BPL. Meanwhile, if the India tour doesn’t materialize, it’s a chance for the Indian board to call upon some other team.

In the article, let’s have a look a three teams, who can replace Bangladesh for the India tour

Back in July 2019, the International Cricket Council (ICC) suspended Zimbabwe due to political interference in their cricket. It was a big blow as the team was also barred from playing the ICC T20 World Cup Qualifiers in the United Arab Emirates.

Thereafter, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) cancelled their T20I series versus Zimbabwe, scheduled to take place on January 2020. Sri Lanka replaced them on the tour. Recently, Zimbabwe were re-admitted as ICC members along with Nepal after a board meeting in Dubai.

The Sean Williams-led team last played in the Singapore tri-series, which ended on October 3. With no international fixtures in the near future, Zimbabwe can come over to India next month and play the T20Is, provided the BCCI is ready to invite them.
