It was a wonderful 2019 season for the Delhi Capitals (DC) as they qualified for the playoffs for the first time since 2012. They played well and fired together as a unit and it paid off. However, it may not be the same this time around and they might be back at the bottom.

Delhi have a few quality top-order batsmen but none of them barring Jason Roy (who doesn’t look a direct shoo-in in the XI) can go hell for leather at the top. Chris Woakes has pulled out of the IPL while the likes of Kagiso Rabada and Ishant Sharma are under injury cloud.

They don’t have enough backup in the bowling department to fill those voids. Hence, their fitness will be the key.
