Defending a low score of 127 runs, Periyasamy took two wickets in his first over and 3 wickets in the last over to end with figures of 5/15. He bagged a total of 21 wickets in 9 matches, which is the highest for any bowler in the 4-year history of TNPL.

He has a slinging action much similar to Sri Lankan legend Lasith Malinga. Periyasamy’s title-winning heroics wouldn’t go unnoticed.
