The Western Australia opener, Cameron Bancroft is one of the two uncapped players included in the Australian squad. Bancroft belongs to the old school of cricket and has a very sound technique. With Chris Rogers taking retirement from Tests and Warner missing out due to injury it will be a perfect opportunity for the 22-year-old batsman to stake his claim for the opening slot. Recently, he had played an exemplary knock of 150 runs for Australia A against India A in Chennai. The most remarkable thing about Bancroft is the very fact that he is very good of his feet and is even apt at sweeping the spinners. Australian greats Shane Warne and Justin Langer rate him very highly. Cameron’s temperament and patience has been hailed by many Australian experts as well. Bancroft is touted as the next big thing in Australian cricket.
