We tend to call Suresh Raina as Mr IPL but there’s hardly been any other player as consistent as David Warner ever since he moved to the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). In fact, since 2014, he has won the Orange Cap three times, most for a player in the history of the IPL.

He simply churns out runs for fun and is a bank at the top of the order for SRH. He has finished as the highest run-getter in 2015, 2017 and 2019. They had bought him for a sum of INR 5.5 crores in 2014 before retaining him as their first-choice player. Hence, it meant that Warner got a whopping INR 12 crores.

Meanwhile, he was the second pick for the Southern Brave who added Jofra Archer as their Test player and Andre Russell as their first pick. He was put under the salary cap of £125,000. Hence, Warner’s IPL salary is miles ahead of what he will get in The Hundred.
