Ravichandran Ashwin is one of the most skilful bowlers to have ever played the sport. He is the master of off-spin bowling and has been on top of his game since the time he has made his debut for India. But before Ashwin was confusing batsmen with his offies, he was an engineering student.

The Tamil Nadu all-rounder made his first-class debut in 2006 at the age of 19. At the time, he was already pursuing his B.Tech degree from SSN College of Engineering. The pressure of playing regular cricket for his state team didn’t pressurize him to quit his studies.

Being a true all-rounder, Ashwin continued and managed both. He finally graduated with a B. Tech degree in Information Technology. Finally, in 2010, Ashwin made his international debut and ever since he has been a key bowler for the India side. Having picked 564 wickets, the off-spinner has already made himself enter into the legends column of Indian cricket.
