4. Dinesh Karthik – Dipika Pallikal
Dipika Pallikal is the second wife of Indian cricketer Dinesh Karthik and she is a professional squash player. She has got quite a reputation of her own and is the first Indian to break into the top 10 in the PSA Women’s ranking. Even though Dinesh and Dipika had a few interactions before, they became really good friends when they trained together in Chennai. Both of them worked with Basu Shankar and thus have developed a good rapport.
She fell for DK when he flew to Leeds where she was training. The wicket-keeper spent some quality time with her, tried his hand at squash and used to accompany her for the training sessions. Love soon blossomed between the two and Dipika, despite not liking cricket, used to go to the stadiums for the IPL games.
The squash player was also there at the ICC Champions Trophy 2013. After the win, Dinesh proposed to her and they got engaged within the next five months. Later, they got married in 2015 in both Hindu and Christian styles, just like they did for their engagement.
