5. Multiple 6-wicket hauls in Youth ODI cricket – Mujeeb ur Rahman
Mujeeb ur Rahman hogged the limelight in less than two months of becoming an International cricketer when he got a solid price in the IPL auction for the 2018 edition. One of the reasons for getting a big deal at the age of 16 was his exploits at the Under-19 level.
The off-spinner claimed 35 wickets in only 13 Youth ODIs at an impressive average of 9.22. Mujeeb claimed three 5-wicket hauls which are the joint-most for any bowler in this format. Riaz Afridi of Pakistan, the elder brother of Shaheen Shah Afridi, also took three 5-fers.
However, Mujeeb remains as the only player in the Youth ODI history with two 6-wicket hauls. He claimed 7/19 in 2017 October during an ODI against Bangladesh to help Afghanistan defend their total of 133. Later in November, Mujeeb starred in Youth Asia Cup game against Pakistan. He recorded figures of 10-2-23-6 during the group stage match where the Pakistan team were bowled out for only 57 runs.
