There are just three players in the ‘Grade A+’ category. The likes of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah earn INR 7 crores per annum. If there has to be another player who surely deserves a place in this category, it has to be Ravindra Jadeja.

After the Champions Trophy 2017, he was axed from the white-ball formats of the game. Ever since then, he has worked extremely hard on his game. Jadeja has improved his batting leaps and bounds. In about a year’s time, he made a comeback into the ODI team and later the T20I team as well.

He has always been an integral part of the Test set-up of Team India anyway. Thus, he fits into the requirement that a player has to play all the three formats to be put into the ‘Grade A+’ category. Hence, the southpaw should be placed in the higher category in the upcoming central contracts.
