The 5th place in the list is occupied by the modern batting genius of Indian cricket, Virat Kohli. The current Indian skipper has played 41 innings in Test cricket against the England side and has plundered 1742 runs at an average of 45.84.

The 32-year-old has also scored 5 centuries and 7 half-centuries against England in Test cricket as well. Kohli’s highest score against England came in December 2016, when he smashed a magical 235 in Mumbai. The right-handed batting behemoth scored 25 fours and a six in his sparkling knock and helped India defeat England by an innings and 36 runs.

Kohli has played 92 Test matches for India and scored 7547 runs in Test cricket, at an excellent average of 52.04. He is also the only Indian batsman to score 7 double centuries in Test cricket as well.
