Wriddhiman Saha is one of those cricketers who was under the shadows of MS Dhoni for a major part of his career. As a matter of fact, he seldom got a chance to showcase his talent in the IPL during his stint with CSK and KKR as well. It was only in 2014 when he was at his best for the Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings).

After representing the Punjab franchise until 2017, he was signed by SRH he has continued playing for them. Not only has he got a chance to bat at the top of the order for them but has also been asked to bat as low as at No.7. However, he was at his best when he was asked to open the innings.

As Kane Williamson’s men will be without the services of Jonny Bairstow this time around, Saha is likely to get a longer run in SRH’s playing XI. As he’s going to turn 37 in a month, he might very well retire after this season. Thus, the keeper would definitely try to be at his best during the second phase of IPL 2021.
