One of Pakistan cricket’s most memorable nights after the 1992 World Cup triumph, no one gave them a chance to win the Champions Trophy in 2017. Yet, against all the odds, they registered a thumping win against arch-rivals India by outplaying them in every possible department.

One of the chief protagonists of this victory was Mohammad Amir, who picked up the three biggest wickets of the opposition inside the first five overs – Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli. Just before Kohli was dismissed, Azhar Ali had dropped a sitter in slips off Amir, which left the fast bowler furious.

The whole team was palpably upset at that point as they knew that drop could cost them way too much. Amir was spotted using some expletives against Azhar Ali at this point and although the latter tried to reciprocate, he couldn’t do much. They were lucky enough to get another chance off the very next ball and this time, the same mistake wasn’t repeated.
