The second season of the T10 League matched the expectations of being better than the first with the inclusion of the big stars. However, the young players from various countries showed up their skill and ensured the league was a hit. After 12 days of intense action, unbelievable moments, some insane cricket, the league finally came to a close with the Northern Warriors lifting the title.

The Warriors was easily the best side in the tournament with their fearless approach and having champions players in the line-up helped their cause. This edition witnessed some exceptional batting performances, went beyond the expected parameters and presumptions. Though it was predominantly a tournament for the batsmen, we also witnessed a couple of extraordinary bowling spells.

The highest individual score in T10 League in the first edition was 70 by Luke Ronchi in the final of the tournament. Mohammad Shahzad bettered it with 74* in the first game of the 2018 season. Hazratullah Zazai made 76 which Nicholas Pooran surpassed in less than 90 minutes with a 25-ball 77. Just when Pooran’s score looked tough to beat, Jonny Bairstow struck an unbeaten 24-ball 84. He could have scored the first T10 century if his team Kerala was chasing a higher total.

On the very next day, Rovman Powell made 80 in a losing cause but couldn’t get past Bairstow. But another England batsman Alex Hales was successful in it with an unbeaten 87. This game showed that a T10 century isn’t far as Hales scored 78 out of Maratha Arabians’ 102/3 after 7.1 overs. Dwayne Bravo scored 26 of the remaining 36 runs which cut down Hales’ chances of a triple-digit score.
