Jaydev Unadkat made his debut back in 2010. Yes, he did. He played against South Africa in Centurion only to concede runs at four runs an over before being dropped. The 18-year-old kid then had made quite a bit of noise with his performances in the domestic circuit and him being the left-arm seamer also worked in Unadkat’s favour. But Test cricket proved to be too hot for him.

However, he worked hard and made a comeback to play 7 ODIs and 10 T20Is in the subsequent years. But he couldn’t make a significant impact to continue his stay in the team. Unadkat has picked only 8 and 14 wickets respectively in ODIs and T20 Internationals and last featured for India in March 2018 in Nidahas Trophy.

Rather an exceptional IPL for the Rising Pune Supergiant paved the way for him into the Indian team. But unfortunately, he couldn’t replicate the form at the international level again. The man has roared again, this time, in red-ball cricket picking a massive 67 wickets in 16 innings at an average of 13.23. There are calls for his Test comeback now and if he gets a chance, one would hope that Unadkat makes it count this time around.
