Tom Curran played for Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL 2018 and impressed with his pace and ability to wield the long handle down the batting order. He played 5 matches and picked 6 wickets at an economy of 11.60. He opted out of playing in IPL in 2019 in order to give himself rest for the World Cup, in which he was a part of the England team.

He instead played in last year’s BBL to keep himself in shape and this year too he will turn out for Sydney Sixers and with no World Cup planned this year, it might be a chance for him to impress another franchise which is looking for a nippy fast bowler who has the skills and varieties to deal with Asian conditions.

He has 113 wickets in 93 T20 matches at an economy of 8.51 and this is enough for any franchise in the most popular T20 league. He has left a good impression on the IPL franchises in his previous stint and he is fitter and better than he was before in IPL 2020.
