Sanju Samson has always had to face a difficult situation in the international setup. Even after being named in the squad, he was not given many opportunities to play. After performing well in the ODI series against West Indies, it looked like he would get a chance for the T20I series, given his momentum.

However, he was picked for only the final two games that happened in Florida, and just like every usual time, he and his fans waited for him to get the chance he deserved. That mentality of the team selectors and management gives an idea about Samson’s future with the team, especially for the T20 World Cup.

Samson’s performances have been inconsistent, but that was major because of the lack of opportunities as he could not play back-to-back games. There have been many pauses in his international career, and thus his chances to make it to the world cup squad look blur.
