Stanlake is another fast, tall bowler who has rarely made into the playing eleven. Even after scoring valuable runs against the Mumbai Indians in the 2018 edition of the IPL, he was not included in the playing eleven regularly. He was brought into the squad because of his ability to bowl quickly and generate extra bounce because of his height. But, with multiple foreigners in the squad fighting for the four spots, Stanlake has been warming the benches.

He has represented Australia in seven ODIs and 19 T20Is and has an impressive performance record. But a mere six IPL games in two years depicts that he is not needed in this SRH squad. His pace and bounce can be an asset for the teams that have leaked runs in the death overs and are unable to take early breakthroughs. However, injury is a big factor that decides the future of a fast bowler, and Stanlake was injured mid-season. So, this might be a reason the coaches might have overlooked his abilities.

With no opportunities, Stanlake should search for other teams, or look to return to the Australian domestic circuit. Playing for the domestic teams can help him to regain his spot on the national side. Hence, Stanlake should look to polish his fitness and grow as a bowler as he is a youngster and has more than a decade of cricket left with him.
