Darren Bravo is one of the most elegant batsmen to have emerged from the Caribbean islands. The left-hander made his ODI debut way back in 2009, and till now he has played 107 games. He has the ability to play the spin bowlers well and can also set the tempo in middle overs. Darren has always thrown away his opportunities, and that’s why he has played only 6 out of 14 series after the last World Cup.

The cricketer from Trinidad and Tobago has been selected in the side because of his experience, as the Windies have a pair of youngsters in the middle-order. Darren’s exploits in ODI cricket is mediocre as he has scored just 2800 runs at an average of 31. Even his strike rate of 70 is not up to the mark in this age of short boundaries and flat pitches. He has been trusted by the skipper, Jason Holder because of his ability to grind out on tough tracks, and can be the perfect foil for the hard-hitting players in their line-up.
