A promising fast bowler from Tamil Nadu who made his name through the Tamil Nadu Premier League, Natarajan was picked up by the Kings XI Punjab side for the 2017 season of the IPL. He got an opportunity to play in six matches but failed to impress. At the end of that season, he had only two wickets to his name.

In the 2020 season, Sunrisers Hyderabad gave him an opportunity to prove his talent and play to his potential. He was always known for bowling great yorkers and it was only a matter of time before he showcased this skill. Natarajan did not disappoint his side as he has bowled the most yorkers in this edition of the IPL.

He has picked up 11 wickets in as many games and has been SRH’s go to bowler in the death overs. The left arm angle to right-handers works in his favour and with the ability to bowl the tough overs, he was definitely one person who would consider himself unlucky to miss out on an International call-up. Nevertheless, he is one of the four additional bowlers to travel with team India to Australia and would hope to impress the selectors.
