<p>His exclusion from the ODI side could probably still be justified, however, in T20I’s, he’s a run away match winner and definitely deserves to be a part of the team. He provides the finishing ability which is very important for any T20I side. As said by many commentators in the past, he is potentially the X-factor in the current Indian team.</p>
<p>With KL Rahul taking up the wicket keeping duties and Sanju Samson being picked in the T20I squad it would now be a tough road for Pant to make a comeback in this format. Pant did not have a disastrous IPL season either as he has scored 217 runs in eight games. Therefore, his exclusion from the Indian limited-overs squad has definitely been the biggest shocker.</p>
