Despite being a batsman who can very well hit the ball all around the park along with the gift of timing, Samson is yet to achieve a breakthrough in international cricket for India. Since the start of 2020, he has been selected on and off in the playing XI and has mainly batted in the top four. But with his recent omission from the T20I series against England, one might anticipate that throughout his infusion into the squad, Samson was mainly seen as a cover for either Rohit or Shikhar Dhawan.
Another alarming reason why he doesn’t look to be on the selection committee’s radar is because of his inferior show in the IPL 2020. In a broader sense, one might also call Ishan Kishan as Sanju Samson’s direct replacement. Just like Samson, the left-hander can bat anywhere in the top four and also has similar gameplay. In addition to this, the selection committee has also added Suryakumar Yadav who can also exhibit a similar role. All in all, the chances of getting a World Cup ticket for this Kerala based cricketer does looks shady and might need a significant breakthrough to fetch his place back in the squad.

<h3 class="p3">3. Shivam Dube</h3>

Just like his skipper Samson, even Shivam Dube looked like a temporary replacement of Hardik Pandya for India. The cricketer after the 2019 World Cup was routinely seen as part of the Indian team and also received some reasonable opportunities. At least in T20Is, the all-rounder played 13 matches and could collectively score 105 runs from his nine innings. 
Also in the IPL 2020, where the all-rounder did get a fair bit of chances, Dube could only accumulate 169 runs from his 15 matches. Despite carrying a reputation of being a powerful hitter, the above runs were only amassed at a strike rate of less than 125. Further than this, few of the IPL teams had also exposed his one-dimensional hitting wherein his firepower gameplay is only effective towards the “V” part of the park.
With his omission from the current T20I squad, one in a broader sense can anticipate that he has been mainly replaced by his new team Rahul Tewatia. Because of Tewatia’s breakthrough in<a href="https://www.crictracker.com/orange-cap-holders-in-ipl-history/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> IPL</a> 2020, the team management would be wanting to try some experimentation with his all-round skill set. <h3 class="p3">4. Deepak Chahar</h3>

Although Deepak Chahar has been a preferred front-line pacer for India in T20Is for a while now, in reality, the speedster might be left behind when it comes to picking him for a potential World T20 squad. Ever since Bhuvneshwar Kumar has become injury prone, Deepak Chahar has been the one who has filled his void at least with the new ball. Overall in his eventful T20I career, Deepak has played a total of 13 matches and has grabbed 18 wickets.
Now regardless of featuring in the current <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/where-is-corona-aamer-yamin-takes-a-dig-at-the-ahmedabad-crowd-during-the-first-india-vs-england-t20i/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">T20I </a>squad, the seamer will face some fierce competition from other pacers to grab a T20 World Cup ticket. If someone like Bhuveshwar Kumar if fully fit and back to his accuracy will become the third frontline seamer along with Mohammad Shami and Jasprit Bumrah. These three stallions will also be facing stiff competition for T Natarajan who will eventually have an edge mainly because of his smart left-arm death bowling. 
For the reserves, one might be firmly expecting Navdeep Saini mainly because of his express pace along with his ability to bowl toe-crushing yorkers. In accordance with them, someone like Shardul Thakur might get a preferential edge over Deepak Chahar predominantly because of batting skills. 
With Bhuvneshwar Kumar now being available along with some front-line pacers being unavailable, it will be interesting to see whether the team management does opt to play both these pacers together or either of them. All in all, for Deepak Chahar ideally the goal of grabbing a ticket for the upcoming World T20 does look a strenuous affair to fetch.

Before the pandemic, it was almost certain that India has finally found its much-awaited number four in the form of Shreyas Iyer. But because of his inferior show in the Australian tour, the right-hander might have to battle out now for his number four position in the playing XI. Both the new entrants (Suryakumar Yadav &amp; Ishan Kishan) do exuberantly bat at no.4 position and it will be a toss-up for the management to now choose between the trio. 
If IPL is a recent parameter to pick a clear winner, then again each of them had scored around five hundred runs in the previous edition. Also until the previous selection committee, both the above mentioned new entrants were getting abstained from being part of the Indian team. But now with the arrival of the new committee, the management might be propelled to try these newbies in their playing XI. 
Each of them also cannot be seen batting further lower than number four mainly because both Hardik Pandya and Rishabh Pant will be seen taking the two subsequent positions. Hence all in all for Shreyas Iyer to book his presence in the upcoming World T20 side, the cricketer will now continuously has to pull a rabbit out of his hat.
