Captaincy is not just the ability to perform with the bat and have the cunningness to take some proactive decisions, it also has a lot to do with man management. Rohit certainly has proven his credentials in this regard and he is highly likely to captain the team in the future. Here are five players who could be found more regularly in the Indian team once Rohit takes over.
1. Dinesh Karthik
Rohit Sharma and Dinesh Karthik played together for the Mumbai Indians in the past and the duo have a good understanding. He always believes in having a good number of senior players in the side who could assist the youngsters with their experience. With MS Dhoni pretty much on the verge of leaving the team, Karthik could be the senior guy Rohit could turn to.
Having played professional cricket for nearly 15 years, Karthik brings in vast experience and that is one of the major reasons behind his inclusion in the 15-man World Cup squad despite not playing a lot of International cricket in recent times. He could be playing a good role if Rohit takes over the duties in the coming 6-12 months.
