After being a part of Delhi Daredevils camp till 2013, David Warner joined the Sunrisers’ camp in 2014, for a whopping sum of Rs 5.5 crores. That marked off a new story, and the Australian became the face of the team. The aggressive opener has played 5 seasons for the team, wherein he has scored over 500 runs in every season.

The 30-year-old southpaw is the highest overseas run-getter in the tournament’s history. He was at his peak form in the 2016 season, when he scored 858 runs in 17 games. He also captained the team to the trophy, making it a memorable season for the Hyderabad -based franchise.

He has been an invaluable asset to the team. The bonding between him and the team and only grown after that ban due to ball-tampering and SRH would never like to release him.
