One of the best batsmen of this generation, David Warner has done some extraordinary things in the IPL. He has won an IPL title while leading the charges of the Sunrisers Hyderabad. The southpaw has also been the most consistent batsman of the league in its 12-year history. Apart from that, Warner holds a valuable record.

It is the number of Man of the Match awards received by him. In his 126 appearances, he has been presented with 17 of them. It implies that Warner gets one such award every seven matches. The number also indicates that he has been carrying the batting unit of the Hyderabad franchise for some now.

Looking further it is found that a total of 14 half-centuries and three centuries have come in those circumstances. He is the only batsman to get 13 of his 17 awards in home games. For him, 2015 proved to be the most fruitful as he got four of them in that year, but it didn’t help the franchise qualify for the playoffs.
