Indian captains have a history of turning pressers into some absolute entertainers. MS Dhoni did that with journalists, with subtle trolling and witty answers. And here is Kohli, taking the legacy forward by making these press conferences the best thing to watch after the match.

Today’s post match presentation and the post match conference was an absolute cherry on the top after a ripper of a Test match. While most people hate his guts and call him arrogant, others believe that Virat Kohli can answer with his performance and doesn’t mind indulging in a verbal duel in the process. Though things are not going his way, considering he is not had the best of times with the bat, he defended himself and the Team in an unusually, scandalous yet hilarious way.

He made us go gaga with his brutally honest answers and confidence as he decided to answer the critics not just with a Team victory to remember but also some lines that we’ll remember for a long time. It is admirable when a captain steps up for his team and himself, and shows what goes around in the dressing room and around it.

While the Aussies are known to take things a notch higher by spicing things up with some aggression, taunts, and digs at their opposition. They forget that sometimes the opposition might take the same route. Though the tug of war did not just remain on the field and here is why Virat Kohli decided to take it off the field too.

A comeback for Nathan Lyon

At the post-match presentation, Lyon after his eight-for had said something that raised eyebrows. He may not have intended to make it a personal remark and quoted something similar to what Dale Steyn said about Steve Smith, but it did not go down well with Virat Kohli.

Also, it’s not Kohli-esque to keep quiet when there’s somebody metaphorically referring him to a snake’s head. While Nathan said, “He is obviously is the head of the snake if you want to put it in Dale Steyn’s terms. So it’s quite pleasing to take Kohli’s wicket.”

Kohli, after the victory, replied by saying,“We wanted to bounce back hard. Not to show anyone but prove ourselves how well we can play. They showed the intent, they showed the belief that we can win from any situation. The snake didn’t fall off eventually.” He just can’t let it go, can he!?
