5 Times cricketers got trolled for their tweets against MS Dhoni

This is quite a recent incident. Though we can’t say it was a direct attack on Dhoni, it is quite evident that what was Gautam Gambhir trying to do here. On 2nd April 2020, a leading website posted a tweet in which there was an image of Dhoni’s six which was the famous shot which won India the World Cup in 2011.

After reading this tweet, Gambhir replied stating that they should understand that six from Dhoni, didn’t win the World Cup for India, but it was a team effort. However, the post didn’t ever intend to say that it was that shot which won the trophy, but it only treated that shot like the moment when the team became World Champions.

This didn’t go down well with the fans. According to them, the cricketer-turned-politician didn’t like the fact he wasn’t given any credit for the win. Apart from this, Gambhir has previously been critical of Dhoni’s moves when he was at the helm.
