For the last year or so, Ravindra Jadeja has been in fine form in all three departments. He has been constantly performing and has been making all the right noises. In fact, in the Caribbean, he was also picked as the No. 1 spinner in the Test team ahead of Ravichandran Ashwin.

At home, against South Africa, Jadeja once again contributed to India’s win. The Saurashtra all-rounder scored an unbeaten 30 in the first innings and picked up two wickets which helped him reach the landmark of 200 Test wickets and he became the fastest left-arm bowler to do so as well. He continued his good form in the second innings as he scored 40 and picked up four wickets. India won the Test match by 203 runs and took a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.

Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag sent out a tweet congratulating the Indian team for their win. He also reserved special mention for Rohit Sharma who opened for the first time in Test cricket. The Delhi dasher also took names of Mayank Agarwal, Mohammed Shami, Ravichandran Ashwin and Cheteshwar Pujara for their good performances.

At this time, a fan replied and asked if Sehwag missed Jadeja’s performances or was sleeping. Jadeja retweeted this reply.
