Wicketkeeper-batsman Aditya Tare first came into the limelight after he was picked by IPL franchise Mumbai Indians in 2010. He was a part of the squad during the franchise’s title-winning campaigns in 2013 and 2015.

He is remembered for famously smashing a six off Australian all-rounder James Faulkner to take the side past Rajasthan Royals (RR) into the playoffs, based on superior net run rate in IPL 2015

After putting up some notable performances for the Mumbai Indians, he was bought by the Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2016. He was released and bought by the Delhi Daredevils ahead of IPL 2017 and in the following season, he was back at his base.

He has had a pretty impressive first-class career for Mumbai since making his debut in 2009. Tare holds the record for most dismissals (41) as a wicketkeeper in the Ranji Trophy (2011-12). He was awarded as the Best Mumbai Ranji Cricketer for the 2012-13 season.

With MS Dhoni having retired from the international arena, notable performances and some handy glovework could open the door for a selection in the Indian cricket team.
