The year 2008 can be considered as the stepping stone for T20 leagues, as the IPL took over the cricketing world. Since then various nations have started their version of franchise-based T20 cricket competition around the globe. The concept was an instant success among the fans due to its fast-paced action, and the entertainment involved in it. Now the T20 leagues are becoming the center of attraction with every passing day, and it seems to hold the future of this amazing game.

When IPL started its safari 12 years ago, players from all countries were allowed to play in the league. However in the following season stars from Pakistan were banned due to the deteriorating diplomatic relations between the nations, but in order to give exposure to the local talents, the PCB started its own league in 2015 known as PSL. As Indian players are not going to participate in Pakistan Super League, one can only hypothesize them playing in the league and dream of the mouth-watering clashes between the stars. It will be extremely fun to watch if Indian stars led PSL sides.

Here are the six Indian players who can lead PSL franchises

1) Islamabad United, Suresh Raina

Islamabad United is the most successful team in PSL history as they have won 2 titles in 4 seasons. They consist of some terrific stroke makers like, Rizwan Hussain and Luke Ronchi and quality bowlers in the form of Mohammad Sami and Rumman Raess. They are the only franchise to enter the playoffs in all seasons. Likewise in IPL Suresh Raina is one of the players who has made it to 10 playoffs.

Raina can be the captaincy material for the IU, as he has the past experience of leading IPL sides and international sides. He has led the Men in blue 15 times and has won 9 of them. In IPL also Raina has captained Gujarat Lions for two seasons, and in one of the season the team finished at the top of the table in the league stage. Raina has served the deputy role for CSK, and has learned some tricks from the master tactician MSD. His combination with Luke Ronchi at the top can provide a nightmare to other teams.
