One thing I can assure the readers is that the ‘C’ word won’t be mentioned here. Not only because it is hurtful if doesn’t do any justice to the massive pool of talent that both these squads possess. They are one of the most hardworking sides and it hurts to see as a cricket fan, then bottling up under crunch situations when no one (absolutely no one!) expects them to. On any given day, South Africa and RCB can take down any side in the world if they live up to their potential.

RCB and the Proteas are known to do all the hard work to reach the final hurdle but to only fall short of what they’ve been fighting for, all along. So much so that, RCB has appeared in 3 finals till date (excluding 1 Finals appearance in the Champions League) and has ended on the losing side on as many occasions. A team that has one of the most powerful batting line-ups ever, is not new to bottling up under pressure.

South Africa on the other hand, missed three important moments in their WC history that eventually cost them the coveted trophy. In 2015, The Proteas lost the semifinal against New Zealand in a match that was theirs right from the start and it shows that it’s something to do with the mindset rather than the quality as having quality match-winners in their side had never been a problem for either of the teams. Lastly, their passionate fan bases are inspiring, to say the least, having stuck to their sides even after witnessing a rough 2017 & a part or 2018. RCB and South Africa resemble each other in ways one could not imagine.
