1. Border Gavaskar Trophy:
The Border–Gavaskar Trophy is a Test series, played between India and Australia and has witnessed some of the most competitive series played over the last decade. It is a four Test match affair played twice in every four years in home and away contests occurring 9 to 10 months apart. The series is named after Australia’s Allan Border and India’s Sunil Gavaskar, both of whom scored over 10,000 Test runs in their career and captained their respective teams with distinction at the Test level. The first series of the Border Gavaskar trophy was played in 1996-97 with India, the hosts winning it 1-0. India and Australia have both won the trophy six times each out of the 13 series played so far.
