Jasprit Bumrah has cemented his place on the Indian side by exuding his repertoire and skills. Ever since his debut, the pacer has been one of the most important cogs of Team India’s wheel. After securing the wicket of Ollie Pope in the going Test match against England, Bumrah became the fastest Indian pacer to scalp 100 Test wickets.

Bumrah scripted his names into the history books as he reached this milestone in 24 Tests one lesser than the Legendary Kapil Dev who previously held the record after having reached the feat in 25 matches. Bumrah is also the joint-8th fastest Indian to achieve the mark of 100 Test wickets along with Ravindra Jadeja, who also achieved it in his 24th Test match.

As Bumrah scalped his 100th wicket in red-ball cricket, the cricket on-lookers and experts are all full of praises for the speedster. A Twitter user posted a video that shows the first and 100th wicket of Bumrah. It in a way displays the long path the pacer has traveled over the years, leading India’s fast bowling unit.

Jasprit Bumrah picked up his maiden Test wicket on day one of India’s opening Test against South Africa at Cape Town. And the wicket was not of just any other batter. The Indian speedster had received his Test cap that very morning and garnered the audacity of the occasion by getting his first Test wicket in South African batsman AB de Villiers. The batter tried to play the delivery of Bumrah but the ball hit the inside edge and then hit the off stumps. His 100th wicket happened to be England’s batter Ollie Pope. Pope got beaten by the pace and the ball went on to shatter the stumps.

Jasprit Bumrah with his lethal yorkers has been the trusted man of skipper Virat Kohli. His impressive spell to further clinch the wicket of Jonny Bairstow put the visitors in a commanding position. The speedster’s bowling in the match so far has fetched him praises from all around the cricket fraternity.
