A Pakistan police officer offers Virat Kohli a marriage proposal

Indian skipper Virat Kohli is one of the iconic players of the present generation. Apart from, flair and grace, his audacious approach has made him so much more popular and beloved to the fans. The 28-year-old, with his inspiring performances on the field, has been enjoying an envious fan-following, which includes a legion of female followers.

As it turns out, the Delhi cricketer has a huge fan in a Pakistani police officer, who wants to marry the Indian star. Kohli has previously received innumerable marriage proposals in the past, including one from English all-rounder Danielle Wyatt. However, the recent one from the security personnel from across the border took him by surprise.

In an image posted on Twitter, the Pakistani policeman, who was working in the recently concluded World XI series, is seen posing for a photograph while holding a placard, which reads: “Kohli, Marry Me!”

Pakistan fans want Virat Kohli to visit the country

Notably, the Pakistan cricket fans had expressed their disappointment over the absence of Kohli and former India captain MS Dhoni. Quite a few of the cricket fans, who were attending the World XI series, held out placards, requesting Kohli, to visit the country. Twitter was also flooded with such messages from Pakistani users.

The star-studded team World XI team, led by Faf du Plessis, did not feature any Indians as the cricket ties between the two countries have worsened after the 2008 terror attack in Mumbai. Pakistan defeated the visitors to win the series 2-1.

Meanwhile, Kohli is all set to lead the Men in Blue in the first of the five-match ODI series against Australia in Chennai today. After decimating Sri Lanka in all formats of the game during their recent tour to the island nation, a lot is expected of the Indian team. They begin a long home season and will be aiming to do an encore of their previous performance.
