However, fans noticed that the former great has lost the tick ahead of his name and all the noise started circling on Twitter.

It was only a few minutes that the blue tick came back on his profile and it became verified again. The reason behind all this is expected to be his inactiveness on various social media platforms which included Twitter as well. In the same turn of events, a user of the microblogging site revealed as to why CSK skipper could’ve lost the blue tick.

Here is why MS Dhoni could’ve lost the blue tick for a short period

Twitter used added that to let the account remain verified, it should be authentic as well as active. The user should have come across the account at least once in six months which might not have been the case with MS. It is a known fact that the former Indian skipper is quite inactive on various social media platforms. It is only through his wife Sakshi or some close friends, fans get to know about the happenings in his daily life.

In August 2020, he announced his retirement from international cricket and is currently appearing in only IPL. He is still leading his yellow army which he has been doing ever since the inception of the Indian T20 league. It has to be noted that MS Dhoni will next be seen in the UAE leg of IPL 2021 which is all set to take place in September-October. Though CSK suffered a terrible outing in the 2020 edition of IPL, they marched up strongly in the suspended leg of IPL 2021.

The team was 2nd on the points table and would try to maintain its streak going in the UAE leg wherein they play the opening game against Mumbai Indians.
